One strategy that I hope teachers attempt to implement with students, in future classrooms is the INCLUDE Strategy.
The INCLUDE Strategy:
I: Identify classroom demands: classroom organization, classroom grouping, instructional materials, instructional methods, and student evaluation
N: Note student's strengths and needs: academics, social-emotional development, and physical development
C: Check for potential successes: strengths with classroom demands, activities done successfully without support
L: Look for potential problems: classroom demands, activities done successfully with support
U: Use information gathered to create accommodations: classroom teaching and organization, teacher/peer strategies
D: Decide wich accommodations to implement
E: Evaluate student progress
